Over the past year, I have been working on a side project to create an Audiobook Library. The idea came about when I realized that most of my friends were interested in listening to the same audiobooks but didn't have a legal way to share them. Most get their audiobooks from Audible but are limited to 1 or 2 books per month. Once they're done reading, there is no legal way to share. I wanted a legal and ethical way to share audibooks with my friends who have similar reading interests. This project is the solution to that problem. Watch the video, visit the project page, donate, share, save, and read more books! -Thanks

Audiobooks make learning more convenient, the only problem is, they are expensive and hard to come by. Together, we can create and share a great collection of audiobooks enabling us to read more books then ever before.

Why Should you Donate? Together, we can purchase and share a lot of audiobooks, gaining great knowledge along the way. When the library launches, you will be able to listen to as many books in the library as you have time for. Your donation will go directly to purchasing audio books for the library.

Year after year, I fall short of my reading goals.  In 2013, I have a goal to listen to 48 books (that's 4 books per month). This goal would be impossible without this audiobook library. Together we can buy and legally share a ton more than 48 books! Why not share? Join the movement, help build a library and share audiobooks in a legal way.

When you donate, you will gain access to all the books in the library. The library will work just like your public library in that you can 'check out' the audio books you want. Unlike a public library, this one will be all digital so you can use your computer or smartphone to browse and checkout. An app is provided to make listening to the audiobooks really convenient and super slick.  Also unlike a public library, YOU will have a huge influence on what books are on the digital 'shelves' of this library.

What books are on your to-read list? As a Backer to this project, I want more than just your money, I need your input! You will be able to vote on what books make the collection. As stated in the video, a library like this will thrive best when focusing on a niche audience interested in the same genre of books.

The list below is a small sample of the types of books that may be included in the collection but we need your input to add to it. After you donate, message me a list of books to add.We are aiming for books that are generally about Successful People, Impressive Companies or Great Ideas. Once the project is funded, we will compile the list of titles submitted and all the backers will vote on what books will make the first purchase order. Beyond the first order, I will continue to take your input as to what books need added to the library on an ongoing basis.

Last thought, Why Audiobooks? They say “One of the most common traits of successful leaders, professional athletes & entrepreneurs is AN OBSESSION WITH LEARNING”. Imagine reading a book a week. Who has time for that? Audiobooks listners do. You can listen to audiobooks anywhere, hands free while you do almost anything:

  • Drive to work,
  • Exercise,
  • Walk your dog,
  • Ignore a boring lecture,
  • Even while swimming if you have those fancy headphones (not included).
